About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design AI-enabled solutions that address business, technical and operational requirements
Develop high-level solution specifications aligned to enterprise architecture standards and design patterns
Identify and assess multiple solution approaches, including trade-offs across performance, scalability, security and cost
Rapidly prototype and test AI tools, platforms and patterns to assess suitability
Benchmark technologies and provide evidence-based recommendations for production use
Maintain awareness of emerging AI capabilities, including model advancements and agent-based architectures
Translate complex AI concepts into clear, practical guidance for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Partner with business and delivery teams to ensure requirements are understood and solutions are feasible
Act as a trusted point of contact for solution clarification and escalation during delivery
Demonstrated application of responsible AI principles in production environments
Identify solution risks and provide pragmatic mitigation strategies
Develop high-level cost estimates across AI solutions, including model usage, infrastructure and operational costs
Assess the impact of design changes and evolving requirements on solutions and delivery plans
Contribute to AI technology roadmaps across platforms, tools and capabilities

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience designing AI/ML solutions within cloud environments (AWS preferred, with awareness of Azure equivalents)
Hands-on experience with modern AI platforms and services, including large language models and related tooling
Practical experience with techniques such as retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), prompt design and orchestration patterns
Ability to prototype and evaluate tools effectively and translate findings into clear architectural decisions
Strong understanding of enterprise architecture, design patterns and governance practices
Familiarity with responsible AI principles and their application in real-world systems
Clear communication skills, with the ability to engage a broad range of stakeholders.
