About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist underwriters in preparing and processing underwriting documentation, including binders, contracts, policy wordings, endorsements, and other program-related documentation
- Maintain accurate underwriting activity records in SiriusPoint underwriting systems, ensuring completeness, consistency, and data quality
- Support preparation of reports, presentations, and documentation for internal and external meetings
- Coordinate and administer underwriting projects and initiatives
- Provide administrative support, manage correspondence, and maintain digital underwriting files
- Assist with quarterly book closing, underwriting-related data completion, and finance reporting support
- Produce, analyze, and interpret underwriting reports and perform controls and validations
- Act as a key contact for underwriting data quality, exception reporting, and control processes
- Collaborate with IT to enhance underwriting systems and implement system upgrades
- Drive process efficiency, streamlining, automation, and adoption of best practices and technology solutions
Requirements
What you’ll need- Previous experience in an underwriting support role or another insurance and/or reinsurance position is preferred, ideally with exposure to program business
- Demonstrable understanding of insurance and reinsurance underwriting principles, program structures, underwriting processes, and portfolio administration
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for maintaining internal and external stakeholder relationships
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and data management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and other relevant software applications
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Interest in driving process efficiency and automation is highly valued
