About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Create and maintain automated test suites using automation-specific tools and platforms.
- Select test scenarios that are most effective for automation.
- Apply best practices in automated testing and integrate them into continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) workflows.
- Analyze and troubleshoot issues identified during testing, document defects, and collaborate with the team to resolve them.
- Organize and maintain test case and test result documentation to support audit and compliance processes.
- Continuously evaluate and adopt new technologies and tools to improve the effectiveness of automated testing.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Work closely with the development team and business analysts to understand product needs and features.
- Create and maintain automated test suites using automation-specific tools and platforms.
- Select test scenarios that are most effective for automation.
- Apply best practices in automated testing and integrate them into continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) workflows.
- Analyze and troubleshoot issues identified during testing, document defects, and collaborate with the team to resolve them.
- Organize and maintain test case and test result documentation to support audit and compliance processes.
- Continuously evaluate and adopt new technologies and tools to improve the effectiveness of automated testing.
- Qualifications:
- Knowledge of S/4 data structures, TDF, or BTP (optional).
- Experience in software test automation.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
- Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cucumber, Appium, and Cypress (preferably Selenium and Cypress), and Playwright.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitLab CI.
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with development and QA teams.
- Experience with performance testing and familiarity with related tools is a plus.
