About the role
- Respond to SOC tickets
- Log and categorize incidents
- Manage queues and tasks assigned to the vulnerability management team
- Identify vulnerabilities (patching), analyze, remediate and map risks inherent to IT services
- Knowledge of how vulnerabilities in applications can be exploited and how to remediate them
- Security baseline management (hardening)
- Analyze findings and vulnerabilities from vulnerability and penetration tests and develop remediation strategies
- Collaborate with other cybersecurity teams to address issues and ensure understanding, assisting in the development of action plans
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of infrastructure
- Experience working in a SOC
- Hands-on professional for vulnerability remediation and hardening
- Experience handling vulnerabilities on servers and with middleware applications (desirable)
- Mandatory experience with Windows Servers, GPO, VMware and Red Hat Linux
- Knowledge of security protocols such as SSL/TLS, IPSec and SSH
- Knowledge of operating systems, networks and databases
