About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist with fund formation and document drafting for private fund clients
- Review and track investor subscription documents
- Assist with investor onboarding
- Manage fund closings
- Prepare basic funds-related agreements, including transfer agreements
- Work with clients and investors to process and close secondary transfers
- Compile key documents, including master side letters and most favored nation clause compendiums
- Assist with AML and KYC review and compliance
- Assist with ongoing fund and compliance work
- Perform other tasks as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
- Admission to the bar of the local office jurisdiction
- Transcripts required during the recruitment process
- Strong technical and computer skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and demands on time
- Strong attention to detail
- Preferred: knowledge of Excel, iManage, and Word
- Simpson Thacher will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position
