About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee the professional development of junior associates and specialty associates/counsel
- Work closely with staffing partners in multiple offices
- Make staffing recommendations and match staffing needs
- Participate in onboarding and assist in scheduling meetings
- Track absence time and maintain vacation calendar
- Develop professional rapport with associates/counsel through regular check-ins
- Work closely with the Legal Talent team to pair associates/counsel with mentors
- Ensure thorough evaluations and developmental objectives for associates/counsel
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree
- 3-4 years of comparable experience
- Prior experience in a law firm preferred
- Staffing experience preferred but not required
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong interest and experience in professional development
- Ability to self-direct and manage multiple priorities
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Comfortable working in web-based databases/software
