About the role
- You are responsible for the operation, maintenance and monitoring of Windows, SQL and Linux servers and ensure stable systems
- The configuration of network components (routers, switches, firewalls) is part of your responsibilities
- You take care of the setup and further development of backup and recovery solutions
- Continuous optimisation of our system landscape in terms of redundancy, resilience and security is part of your role
- You document processes and configurations in the ticketing and knowledgebase system
- Handling 3rd-level support requests is also part of your tasks, where you ensure pragmatic solutions for complex IT issues
Requirements
- Successfully completed training as an IT specialist for system integration, alternatively a degree with an IT focus or a comparable qualification
- At least 3 years of professional experience as an IT System Administrator or System Engineer in companies with 50+ servers
- Solid knowledge of installation, configuration and administration of servers in virtualised environments
- Very good knowledge in networking (LAN/WAN, VLAN, VPN)
- Experience in backup and recovery
- Knowledge of database administration desirable
- Experience with Linux and Apple desirable
- Agile mindset
- Very good German and English language skills
- Reliable team player with a strong sense of quality, pragmatism and the ability to work independently
