About the role

  • You are responsible for the operation, maintenance and monitoring of Windows, SQL and Linux servers and ensure stable systems
  • Configuring network components (routers, switches, firewalls) is part of your responsibilities
  • You take care of setting up and further developing backup and recovery solutions
  • Continuous optimization of our system landscape with regard to redundancy, resilience and security is part of your role
  • You document processes and configurations in the ticketing and knowledge base system
  • Handling 3rd-level support requests is also part of your duties, where you ensure pragmatic solutions for complex IT issues

Requirements

  • Successfully completed training as an IT specialist for system integration, alternatively a degree with an IT focus or comparable training
  • At least 3 years of professional experience as an IT System Administrator or System Engineer in companies with 50+ servers
  • Solid knowledge in the installation, configuration and administration of servers in virtualized environments
  • Very good knowledge in networking (LAN/WAN, VLAN, VPN)
  • Experience with backup and recovery
  • Knowledge of database administration desirable
  • Knowledge of Linux and Apple desirable
  • Agile mindset
  • Very good German and English skills
  • Reliable team player with a high level of quality awareness, pragmatism and independence
