Lead projects from initiation through closure, ensuring timely and successful delivery
Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource forecasts
Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria
Monitor project progress and address risks, issues, and dependencies
Ensure adherence to project management methodologies and governance standards
Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders
Facilitate executive-level communications, status reporting, and steering committee meetings
Build partnerships with clients, delivery teams, vendors, and business leaders
Manage stakeholder expectations and alignment throughout the project lifecycle
Track project budgets, forecasts, and financial performance
Coordinate project resources and support capacity planning and resource allocation
Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks
Maintain issue and action logs and ensure deliverable quality
Drive continuous improvement and lessons learned activities
Lead cross-functional teams across business and technical organizations
Coach team members and promote project management best practices
Support organizational change and transformation initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
5+ years of project management experience delivering technology and/or business transformation initiatives
Experience managing multiple concurrent projects
Knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid project management methodologies
Experience working with executive stakeholders and cross-functional teams
Strong communication, presentation, and relationship management skills
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps, Jira, Smartsheet, or similar project management platforms
Public sector experience
Ability to travel onsite as required
