About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the SAP finance initiative within a discrete manufacturing environment
Partner with finance and IT teams to deliver configuration and enhancements
Deliver FICO, discrete manufacturing, and SCM implementations and support across core financial processes
Serve as project manager on smaller-scope projects
Manage a team responsible for SAP package software application implementation through configuration and development
Lead workshops to determine system requirements and document findings
Lead projects, allocate resources, and ensure on-time delivery
Configure FI, CO, and associated SAP modules
Provide functional specifications for technical development
Identify and address technical and operational challenges proactively
Monitor and report on project progress and financial metrics
Promote continuous improvement and learning
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members
Foster teamwork and effective communication
Establish and maintain long-term executive relationships through billable advisory services
Manage full-lifecycle implementation of FI, CO, and associated SAP modules for discrete manufacturing and Made-to-Order processes leveraging variant configuration
Provide post-implementation support

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Computer Science, or equivalent combination of education and experience
8+ years of relevant industry work experience
Minimum 3+ years in a similar role
Relevant experience in software engineering and management
Proficiency in one or more software languages and development methodologies
Proven experience in team management and software project execution
Solid technical knowledge of package applications
Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills
Experience leading requirements sessions and workshops
Experience leading a project while serving as the FICO lead on a mid-sized company SAP GROW or RISE implementation
Experience with SAP FICO, FI, CO, discrete manufacturing, SCM, Made-to-Order processes, and variant configuration
Ability to operate independently in fast-paced environments
US citizenship or green card preferred for this requirement
Advanced degree in a relevant field, such as an MBA, is a plus
