About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide aged care clients with home help services
- Perform general housekeeping and make beds
- Clean, mop and vacuum floors
- Wash, fold and iron laundry
- Prepare meals and complete grocery shopping
- Provide social support and transport to lifestyle activities
- Help family carers take a break or attend to other activities
- Work independently and find solutions to everyday problems
- Ask a manager for help when needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience in community or age care essential
- Valid Australian Driver's Licence
- Own insured, roadworthy vehicle
- Ability to enjoy variety in the workday
- Passion for providing excellent service
- Ability to build positive relationships with clients and families
- Commitment to helping aged community members live independently at home
- Comfortable working independently and finding solutions to everyday problems
- Know when to ask a manager for help
- Statutory Declaration required before commencement
- National Police check required before commencement
- Working Rights check required before commencement
- Pre-employment functional assessment required before commencement
