About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide aged care clients with home help services, including general housekeeping, making beds, cleaning, mopping, vacuuming, laundry, meal preparation and grocery shopping
Provide personal care, including getting clients out of bed, showered and dressed
Assist clients to take medications
Assist with mobility and therapy goals
Provide complex care for customers with high care needs, such as dementia
Provide social and emotional support
Transport clients to lifestyle activities or appointments
Help family carers take a break or attend to other activities
Work independently, find solutions to everyday problems, and ask the manager for help when needed

Requirements

What you’ll need

Cert III qualified
Certificate III or above in Aged Care, Individual Support, or Disability
At least 6 months’ experience in a similar role
Experience with personal care, manual handling, hoist training and medications
Valid Australian Driver's Licence
Own insured, roadworthy vehicle
Complete a Statutory Declaration before commencement
Complete a National Police check before commencement
Complete a Working Rights check before commencement
Complete a pre-employment functional assessment before commencement
