About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide aged care clients with home help services
Perform general housekeeping and make beds
Clean, mop and vacuum floors
Wash, fold and iron laundry
Prepare meals and complete grocery shopping
Provide social support and transport to lifestyle activities
Help family carers take a break or attend to other activities
Work independently, solve everyday problems and consult a manager when needed

Requirements

What you’ll need

Ability to build positive relationships with clients and families
Care about helping aged community members live independently at home
Ability to remain composed when clients have difficult days or when delays occur
Comfortable working independently and finding solutions to everyday problems
Know when to ask a manager for help
Valid Australian Driver's Licence
Own insured, roadworthy vehicle
Interest in community care or aged care
Experience preferred but not essential
Prior to commencement: Statutory Declaration, National Police check, Working Rights check and pre-employment functional assessment
