About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build the backend powering Fundable’s API, AI services, MCP, and workflow platform.
Own Fundable’s core data products from architecture through production.
Lead the development of our new external API from end-to-end.
Build, deploy, and test agentic microservices that convert natural language queries into deterministic filters.
Build Fundable’s workflow product end to end, similar to n8n, for recurring automations.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong backend engineering experience building production systems from scratch.
Strong TypeScript/Node.js or Python skills, plus SQL and Postgres experience.
Experience designing APIs, data models, and distributed jobs with authentication, idempotency, retries, and observability.
Understands how to use AI tooling (e.g., Claude, Codex) to build maintainable, modular systems without sacrificing quality.
Practical experience with LLM-backed systems, agentic frameworks, RAG, structured outputs, evaluations, and deterministic validation.
Clear product judgment and communication in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
Deployed production systems using cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure).
