Patient Services Registrar – Lead

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Leads frontline registration operations while performing high-level registration and administrative functions
- Ensures efficient workflow, staff coordination, and quality performance across the registration team
- Serves as the primary point of contact during assigned shifts, supporting both staff and departmental needs
- Perform advanced registration and administrative duties with a high level of accuracy and efficiency
- Coordinate daily workflow by assigning, organizing, and delegating tasks to registration team members
- Develop staff rotations, including workstation assignments, break schedules, and coverage planning
- Act as the first point of contact for staff support, issue resolution, and interdepartmental collaboration
- Monitor registration quality, identify errors, and provide real-time coaching and corrective feedback
- Provide leadership with feedback on employee performance and development opportunities
- Promote a positive and engaged work culture through clear expectations and recognition
- Maintain ownership of productivity, worklists, and performance metrics
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
- Model professionalism, strong customer service, teamwork, and patient-centered care
- Demonstrate strong organizational, communication, and follow-up skills
- Maintain flexible availability to support operational needs (Monday–Friday with variable hours)
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Proficiency in computer systems and ability to navigate multiple platforms
- Experience with Cerner preferred
- Previous healthcare experience required
- Strong customer service and phone communication skills required
- Demonstrated leadership and team coordination abilities
