About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the RFI/RFP process end to end, building bid and solicitation packages and ensuring complete, accurate bid documents
Facilitate pre-bid meetings and manage bidder communications throughout solicitations
Drive competitive sourcing to deliver cost savings and maximize spend value
Coordinate cross-functional bid evaluation across price, schedule, scope, and commercial risk
Lead bid review meetings and present award recommendations to leadership
Lead negotiations with contractors and suppliers and make commercial recommendations
Identify and mitigate commercial and contractual risks across the contract lifecycle
Draft, redline, and negotiate commercial terms and conditions with Legal and other departments
Maintain standard templates, fallback positions, and a negotiation playbook with Legal
Coordinate contract signature routing, execution, and distribution
Identify, prequalify, and onboard vendors and maintain approved-supplier status
Manage EPC and supplier performance through scorecards and periodic business reviews
Partner closely with Legal, Engineering, Finance, Delivery, project management, development, and other cross-functional teams

Requirements

What you’ll need

4+ years of contract management, commercial, or procurement experience
At least 2 years working directly with EPC or construction contracts
Experience in utility-scale renewable energy, power, infrastructure, heavy civil, or large construction/EPC; utility-scale solar or renewables preferred
Demonstrated experience leading commercial negotiations of high-value EPC, construction, or supply agreements
Hands-on experience drafting, redlining, and administering commercial agreements
Working command of payment and milestones, liquidated damages, warranties, indemnification, limitation of liability, insurance, change orders, and termination
Familiarity with EPC/construction services agreement structures
Strong cross-functional collaboration with delivery, engineering, finance, development, and legal teams
Bachelor’s degree in construction management, business, finance, supply chain, engineering, economics, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Relevant certification such as NCMA CPCM/CFCM, ISM CPSM, or PMP preferred
