About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform engineering product data change control activities that are critical to the integrity of our manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to maintain system part information, drawings, manufacturing routings, and engineering documentation, while building a strong foundation in change management.
  • Maintain effective controls and tracking of configuration management records using identified systems for critical engineering data including parts, specifications, drawings, documentation and manufacturing routings.
  • Work with engineering, manufacturing, and other functions to ensure changes are documented correctly.
  • Review changes for completeness, correctness, and proper authorizations, then perform system updates.
  • Perform configuration audits and document results.
  • Provide training to process participants to facilitate effective configuration management processes and procedures, as needed.
  • Provide documentation writing and editing support, as needed.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the Silfex Quality Management System and properly apply Quality Procedures and Operating Procedures.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with product configuration concepts, including bills of materials and process routings.
  • Familiarity with change management tools such as ERP, PLM, or similar systems.
  • Ability to read and understand documents such as product drawings, process routings, and operational and quality procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and influencing skills.
  • Experience writing or editing technical or business documentation.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and work with minimal supervision.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Copilot.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
