Engineering Manager

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsible for development and management of the Process Engineering Department
- Leading, developing, and executing process engineering strategies
- Accountable for reducing process variation and lowering cost per unit
- Building strong engineering teams through technical leadership, coaching, and structured problem solving
- Own and continuously improve process capability across manufacturing processes
- Lead root cause analysis for yield loss and rework
- Partner with Quality to define and enforce process controls
- Develop and maintain a multiyear CNC programming transformation roadmap
- Drive cost per process reduction through cycle time improvement
- Serve as the technical escalation point for manufacturing issues
- Develop process engineers’ capability in statistical methods and structured problem solving
- Manage department budget and critical deliverables
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in an Engineering or Science discipline or equivalent
- At least eight years related experience and/or training
- A minimum 4 years of experience in direct management of technical resources
- Ability to perform complex analysis and deliver strong technical solutions
- Ability to work cross-functionally with Silfex, customers, and suppliers
- Demonstrated success improving CNC process capability, yield, and cost in complex manufacturing systems
- Strong knowledge of SPC, DOE, MSA, control plans, PFMEA
- Experience in high-mix / low-to-medium volume manufacturing
- Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or Operational Excellence frameworks
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
