About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work with stakeholders and participate in solution discovery, initial design, and estimation
- Design scalable and maintainable architectures aligned with business goals
- Take ownership of key architectural decisions and ensure long-term sustainability
- Evaluate alternatives and document the rationale behind key architectural decisions
- Guide engineering teams and ensure implementation aligns with architectural vision
- Ensure implementation stays aligned with the architecture throughout all project iterations
- Design solutions involving integrations, automation, and data flows, including AI components where appropriate
- Ensure that AI usage is practical, controlled, and aligned with system constraints
- Ensure scalability, performance, and reliability under growing load and complexity
- Define measurable targets for quality attributes and track architecture fitness against them
- Create reference implementations and support teams in solving complex technical challenges
- Balance technical excellence with budget and schedule constraints, avoiding unnecessary over-engineering
- Build consensus with engineering teams and communicate architectural decisions constructively
- Ensure that solutions deliver measurable business value
Requirements
What you’ll need- 7+ years of software engineering experience with strong expertise in software architecture and system design
- Hands-on experience with JavaScript, Node.js, and React.js
- Strong experience designing REST and/or GraphQL APIs
- Deep understanding of architecture principles, design patterns, scalability, integrations, and risk management
- Experience working in enterprise environments with multiple stakeholders and parallel initiatives
- Understanding of AI/ML fundamentals, AI-assisted development tools, and AI-related risks
- Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
- Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience guiding engineering teams and making architectural decisions
- Ability to work in environments with evolving or incomplete requirements
- Upper-Intermediate or higher English level
- Experience designing AI-enabled enterprise solutions will be a plus
- Experience with business process automation platforms will be a plus
- Experience building complex integration ecosystems will be a plus
- Knowledge of cloud-native architecture approaches will be a plus
- Experience defining architecture fitness functions and measurable quality metrics will be a plus.
