About the role
- Support the design of Navy networks for Sigma Defense Systems.
- Development of network topologies and templates from system requirements.
- Development of network templates and IP plans.
- Development of test plans and documentation.
- Configuration and documentation of SDWAN solutions.
- Aid in troubleshooting and restoring network and system outages.
- Engage and build relationships with stakeholders across Navy programs and DoD agencies.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience developing technical documentation.
- Proven track record of performance in client facing roles that require engagement and relationship building with stakeholders across Navy programs, the DoD, or other federal agencies.
- Experience with SDN/ SD-WAN Technologies and vendors including VMware, NSX-T, Cisco, Juniper, and open-source solutions.
- Experience with network configuration for L2/L3 switches, routers, and security appliances (firewalls, NIDS, NIPS, etc).
- Experience developing and documenting network topologies.
- Experience in troubleshooting and restoring network and system outages.
- Experience in virtualization technologies.
- CCNP (or equivalent) certification.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Candidate Differentiators: Experience with RF communications, specifically MILSATCOM or COMSATCOM technologies.
- Candidate Differentiators: Experience leveraging NetDevOps or DevSecOps to scale enterprise level engineering projects.
- Candidate Differentiators: Experience with Network Automation in Python, Ansible, NETCONF, or RESTCONF.
- Candidate Differentiators: Experience modeling network configuration in JSON, YAML, or Jinja.
- Candidate Differentiators: Experience developing and maturing complex and collaborative networking projects and working autonomously to move network development forward.
- Personnel Clearance Level: Must possess or have the ability to obtain an active Top Secret security clearance or higher.
- Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physical Science, or related field of study.
