About the role
- Due to the nature of the work, all activity is 100% onsite.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software systems for advanced radar and threat simulator systems.
- Ensure the software meets the high standards required for DoD and other U.S. Government agencies.
- Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
- Effectively balance multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities to meet project goals and timelines.
- Integrate hardware and software components, ensuring seamless operation of the overall system.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve system integration goals.
- Maintain existing software systems by identifying areas for improvement, troubleshooting issues, and implementing solutions to enhance performance and reliability.
- Provide support on various projects, working closely with other engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure project success.
- Foster a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and knowledge sharing.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for software systems ensuring compliance with DoD standards and regulations.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices.
- Pursue continuous learning opportunities to enhance technical skills and knowledge, and apply new insights to improve software systems.
- Travel as necessary (5 - 20%) to meet customer needs and maintain strong customer relationship.
Requirements
- 6-8 years of related software development experience.
- Experience working with Embedded and or Real Time systems, specifically DoD sensor equipment.
- Experience working in Linux and Windows environments.
- Experience integrating software and hardware real-time systems.
- Experience developing, integrating, and testing Radar Systems is preferred.
- Experience with object-oriented design and multi-threading/multi-processing is preferred.
- Strong mathematical background.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Experience working with the following is preferred: QT Creator, Visual Studio, Git, GitLab, GitHub, Google Test, CxxTest, xUnit, CMake.
- Experience with C/C++, Linux, Windows, and C#.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Candidate must possess or have the ability to obtain an active Secret security clearance or higher (clearance will be sponsored for the right candidate).
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field of study (Master's degree preferred).
