About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Maintain machines and equipment to ensure production processes are reliable and consistent.
- Supports installation and rearranges complex equipment.
- Diagnoses equipment failure as instructed by supervision.
- Dismantle, repair, and reassemble complex equipment.
- Performs work in the mechanic skilled area such as fabrication, assembly, welding, burning, cutting, and pipe fitting, as instructed by supervision.
- Occasionally performs work in other trades as instructed by supervision.
- Completes all assigned work orders in CMMS at the time of completion with notes.
- Uses typical mechanics tools and inspection gages.
- Have Basic Electrical knowledge, know to use a voltage meter.
- Have Basic Hydraulic usage knowledge.
- Works from drawings, verbal instructions, or sketches.
- Uses shop math.
- Cleans debris and lubricant from parts, work area, and equipment.
- Operates production equipment to check work as required.
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma required.
- A 2-year technical degree or equivalent work experience in a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or machine maintenance role preferred.
- Background in electro‑mechanical and pneumatic systems for automated equipment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Stainless steel welding and fabrication experience is a plus.
- Experience with equipment building or prototyping is a plus.
- Ability to work with and understand AC and DC voltage.
- Ability to interpret plans, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Ability to work with limited supervision and follow both oral and written instructions.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships
