About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Follows clearly detailed procedures in performing simple repetitive tasks in the same sequence
- Filing pre-coded documents in a chronological file
- Operating office equipment, (e.g., mimeograph, photocopy, addressograph or mailing machine)
- Performing audits as required to support GFE management
- Recommending and implementing property administration policy and procedure
- Identifying government property issues and participates in developing solutions
- Managing GFE reporting for all internal and external customers
- Managing site operations and GFE asset control activities, including record creation, tagging, inventory coordination, excess identification, and disposition
- Continuously improving the processes, procedures, and systems necessary for effective and efficient management of Government assets
- Creating and maintaining a Government Furnished Property (GFP) list
- Documenting material shortages or excesses via a Supply Discrepancy Report (SDR)
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School diploma or GED
- Vocational training commensurate with the Department of Labor functional description
- At least two (2) years of warehouse experience
- Experience in performing inventory, staging, packing, storage, and shipping of electronic equipment and related material
- Operating motor vehicles and material handling equipment
- Utilizing a computer-based inventory and bar-coding system for entry, identification, and tracking of material
- Must hold a valid driver license and a Florida Class E license with no restrictions that are in conflict with Department of Transportation (DOT) or Navy Material Handling Equipment (MHE)
- Must be able to lift and move material and equipment weighing up to 60 pounds
- Must be able to pass a Navy quality medical/physical required for forklift operation
- US citizenship is required
- Ability to obtain a security clearance
