About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Use advanced telemedicine technology to remotely guide MRI scans
- Ensure continuous visual contact with the patient throughout the MRI scan
- Review patient screening conducted onsite
- Select appropriate protocols for MRI scan
- Operate MRI equipment remotely in collaboration with on-site technologists
- Ensure procedures are compliant with safety standards
- Accurately document patient information, procedures performed, and results
- Monitor imaging quality and ensure all scans meet standards
- Stay current with developments in MRI technology and telemedicine practices
- Ensure all patient information is handled in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Requirements
What you’ll need- Active ARRT license
- At least 3 years of MRI Technologist independent scanning experience
- Completion of an accredited MRI certification program or a related field
- Strong understanding of MRI protocols, physics, and imaging software
- Familiarity with remote telemedicine platforms and virtual healthcare technology
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Comfortable using electronic medical record (EMR) systems and related technology
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
