Provide expert-level administration, engineering, and operational support for Linux-based systems hosted on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
Configure, optimize, secure, and automate Linux environments to meet stringent federal and DoD requirements for reliability, security, and performance
Deploy, configure, patch, and maintain Linux servers (primarily Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Oracle Linux) in OCI environments to support mission-critical applications
Design and implement cloud-native Linux solutions using OCI services (Compute, Storage, Networking, IAM, etc.)
Develop, update, and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) scripts and automation frameworks (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Bash, Python)
Configure and maintain system monitoring, alerting, and observability tools
Respond to and resolve system incidents, performing troubleshooting and root cause analysis
Apply DoD RMF, NIST, and FedRAMP security controls to Linux systems
Support Authority to Operate (ATO) sustainment by producing and maintaining technical documentation, procedures, and compliance artifacts
Collaborate with application, database, cybersecurity, and network engineers
Provide Tier II/III operational support, technical consultation, and mentoring
Proactively identify opportunities for modernization, automation, and process improvement
Maintain up-to-date system documentation, runbooks, technical guides, and knowledgebase articles
Participate in after-hours on-call rotations
Requirements
Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen
Candidate must have an active DoD Secret Clearance
Candidate must have an active Security+ CE (or equivalent)
Candidate must have at least 4 years of experience in Linux system administration with at least 2 years supporting cloud-based Linux environments, preferably on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure
Knowledge of Linux system internals, command-line tools, core services (systemd, SELinux, firewalls), and cloud provisioning
Experience with scripting and automation (Bash, Python, Ansible, Terraform)
Knowledge of applying and maintaining security standards aligned with DoD, NIST, and FedRAMP requirements and supporting ATO, STIG, and vulnerability remediation processes
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills; effective communicator with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
