About the role

  • Administration of Oracle databases (from version 19c) on physical and virtualized platforms, including container architectures and Data Guard
  • Building, maintaining and optimizing the database infrastructure, including patch management and performance analysis
  • Execution and management of backup and recovery processes to ensure data availability and integrity
  • Implementation and monitoring of IT security concepts in accordance with current standards and compliance requirements
  • Integration of Oracle-based applications into existing IT infrastructures to support operational processes

Requirements

  • Experience in administering and operating Oracle databases, ideally with Data Guard, Data Pump and RMAN
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL and shell scripting on Linux/UNIX
  • Experience in performance tuning (e.g., ASH, AWR) and monitoring with Oracle Enterprise Manager (Cloud Control)
  • ITIL v3 certification or strong knowledge of IT service management processes
  • Excellent German language skills (fluent to business fluent)
  • Primary residence in Germany for at least 5 years
  • A security clearance (SÜ2) is required for this position in accordance with the legal provisions of the German Security Clearance Act (§ 13 SÜG).
