About the role

  • Join a pod with business owners and product; own a domain and ship needle-moving features weekly
  • Leverage cutting-edge AI (large language models, code-generation, automation) to prototype features and streamline workflows
  • Design and develop backend systems powering field and property management operations
  • Integrate with third-party APIs (REST, GraphQL) and external SaaS
  • Collaborate on scoping and prioritizing the roadmap and interact regularly with users
  • Analyze system efficiency and performance using data to improve reliability and drive business results
  • Build robust, scalable services integrating in-house solutions and external SaaS, including ledgers and AI-driven resource optimization models

Requirements

  • Experience building backend systems that drive real-world processes and results
  • Strong expertise in Python
  • Knowledge of React, Java and Ruby on Rails is a plus
  • Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka for real-time data streaming
  • Deep knowledge of AWS and cloud-based services
  • Experience with databases: PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis and DynamoDB
  • Strong product sensibilities to build experiences users love
  • AI-first sensibilities
  • Experience shipping production applications
  • Comfortable and confident across any stack; deep expertise in one or more areas
  • Entrepreneurial experience preferred
  • Working timezone overlaps at least 5 working hours with US Pacific Time
