About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • You will work on challenging projects for premium clients, delivering the highest standards of quality and aesthetics as an experienced Lead Lighting and Shading Artist
  • You will take a leadership role on projects, providing support and guidance to other lighting artists
  • You will take responsibility for ensuring the best visual and technical quality in the assets you create
  • You will work closely with our development team to further advance our CGI pipeline and workflows
  • As a team player, you will collaborate with a growing group of dedicated and highly motivated CG artists

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • At least 8 years of production experience, ideally in high-end automotive visualization
  • Proven expertise as a lighting and shading artist using Unreal Engine and tools such as Maya, 3ds Max, V-Ray, or similar
  • Confident in PBR material development in Unreal Engine
  • Familiar with complex CGI pipelines and experienced in optimizing content for real-time use
  • Able to inspire and energize team members to achieve common goals
  • Keen eye for detail, strong interest in automotive projects, and a strong sense of visual storytelling
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills; able to work independently, in a structured way, and enjoy leading and supporting a creative team
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written); German is a plus
  • Ideally experienced with Unreal Blueprints, version control systems (e.g., Git), and 2D tools such as Photoshop, After Effects, or Substance
  • A background in photography or as a Director of Photography (DOP), as well as experience with full-CG environments, is a strong plus
  • Understanding of and competence in digital infrastructures, including website rollout, maintenance, support, and information security
