About the role
- You will work on challenging projects for premium clients, delivering the highest standards of quality and aesthetics as an experienced Lead Lighting and Shading Artist
- You will take a leadership role on projects, providing support and guidance to other lighting artists
- You take responsibility for ensuring the best visual and technical quality in the assets you create
- You will work closely with our development team to further advance our CGI pipeline and workflows
- As a team player, you’ll work alongside a growing group of dedicated and highly motivated CG artists
Requirements
- You have at least 8 years of production experience, ideally in high-end automotive visualization
- You bring proven expertise as a lightning and shading artist using Unreal Engine and other tools such as Maya, 3DS Max, V-Ray or similar
- You are confident in PBR material development in Unreal Engine
- You are familiar with complex CGI pipelines and understand how to optimize content for real-time use
- You know how to inspire and energize team members towards achieving common goals
- You have a keen eye for detail and interest in automotive projects and a strong sense of visual storytelling
- You have excellent organizational and communication skills, work independently and structured, and enjoy leading and supporting a creative team
- You are fluent in English (spoken and written); German is a plus
- Ideally, you also bring experience with Unreal Blueprints, version control systems (e.g., Git), and 2D tools like Photoshop, After Effects, or Substance.
- A background in photography or as a DOP, as well as experience with full-CG environments, is a strong plus
- Understanding and competence in digital infrastructures, as well as website rollout, maintenance, support and information security
