About the role

  • Take responsibility for creating highly immersive and visually compelling environments from scratch for Unreal Engine, with a focus on quality, performance, and optimization
  • Stay up to date with new tools, techniques, and best practices in environment creation and Unreal Engine
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to capture project requirements, provide regular progress updates, and ensure the artistic vision aligns with client expectations
  • Maintain the balance between visual fidelity and performance. Ensure assets are optimized for rendering without compromising visual quality

Requirements

  • 8+ years of professional experience as an Environment Artist, with a strong portfolio showcasing a variety of environments and asset creation in Unreal Engine
  • Expertise in asset creation workflows, including modeling, high poly to low poly workflows, texturing, geometry optimization, and material creation using common software packages (Maya, Blender, 3DS MAX or similar)
  • Solid understanding of Unreal Engine’s environment and rendering systems and their integration into virtual production pipelines
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with technical and creative teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills, a passion for innovation, and the drive to push the boundaries of virtual production
  • Experience producing photorealistic renders
