About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver high-quality, aesthetically sophisticated work as Lead Lighting and Shading Artist on challenging projects for premium clients
- Take a leadership role on projects
- Provide support and guidance to other lighting artists
- Ensure the visual and technical quality of created assets
- Work closely with the development team to advance CGI pipelines and workflows
- Collaborate with a growing team of CG artists
- Inspire and energize team members toward common goals
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least 8 years of production experience, ideally in high-end automotive visualization
- Proven expertise as a lighting and shading artist using Unreal Engine
- Experience with Maya, 3DS Max, V-Ray or similar tools
- Confidence in PBR material development in Unreal Engine
- Familiarity with complex CGI pipelines and optimizing content for real-time use
- Keen eye for detail and interest in automotive projects
- Strong sense of visual storytelling
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a structured manner
- Enjoyment of leading and supporting a creative team
- Fluent English, spoken and written; German is a plus
- Ideally, experience with Unreal Blueprints, version control systems such as Git, and 2D tools such as Photoshop, After Effects or Substance
- Background in photography or as a DOP is a strong plus
- Experience with full-CG environments is a strong plus
- Understanding and competence in digital infrastructures, website rollout, maintenance, support and information security
- Current showreel/portfolio required with application
