About the role
- Work in a team responsible for facilities-based systems including surveillance, door control, building automation, and telecommunication
- Design, plan, install, and support network and surveillance systems
- Support desktop PCs, servers, network devices, storage solutions, and surveillance-specific equipment
- Engineer, install, configure, maintain, and monitor multiple state-wide networks
- Mitigate network and system issues as they arise
- Create and update extensive system documentation
- Perform work at nearly 200 locations statewide, including many secure sites, often independently
- Provide documentation, project tracking, and management reporting
- Day travel required; long days are common
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in network engineering (Network prowess)
- 3+ years of experience with surveillance systems (Surveillance prowess)
- 3+ years of experience with documentation processes
- Experience supporting desktop PCs, servers, network devices, storage solutions, and surveillance-specific equipment
- Ability to engineer, install, configure, maintain, and monitor state-wide networks
- Strong troubleshooting skills, creativity, adaptability, delegation and improvisational skills
- Ability to work independently at secure sites across nearly 200 statewide locations
- Day travel required and ability to work long days
