Provide operational planning expertise to assist in future deliberate steady‐state and contingency operational planning.
Provide operational planning expertise to assist in current crisis action planning.
Provide analysis and technical input recommendations to 9AF AFCENT WARNORD, OPLAN, OPORD, and FRAGO development and production guidance and other plans, utilizing Joint, CENTCOM and HAF guidance.
Keep existing plans and orders up to date and executable and coordinate with external agencies as required (e.g., ARCENT, CENTCOM, CAOC).
Facilitate Component Operational Planning Teams and coordinate across 9AF AFCENT functional areas and Air Expeditionary Wings on production of all orders and AMHS messages.
Assist with updating/developing orders production guidance for 9AF AFCENT and inform CENTCOM of initiatives; create products to update senior leaders.
Coordinate all aspects of orders development internally to 9 AF (AFCENT) and externally with USCENTCOM, HAF and other MAJCOM offices, including development of common products, templates, and processes.
Administer applicable data repositories (C2IE, C2IMERA, SharePoint, other websites) associated with the Orders Production Cell on NIPR, SIPR, and other networks.
Ensure capture of key information and lessons during coordination and development of WARNORD, OPLAN, OPORD, FRAGOs and other AMHS messages.
Ensure Orders Production Cell compiles, organizes, and posts information logically to aid planning and preserve reference.
Oversee Orders Production Cell’s use of IT tools (TMT, C2IE, C2IMERA) to build and maintain web pages, templates, training briefs, and draft orders.
Coordinate with Knowledge Management Officer to ensure compliance with 9AF AFCENT IM/KM plans and with Command Center to publish orders and AMHS messages.
Support 9AF AFCENT/A3 personnel responding to routine suspense and staff inquiries and assist with division-level tasker management when required.
Assist development of written documentation (policy letters, letters of instruction, business rules) for government production and distribution.
Comply with staff and joint policies IAW AFI 13-103 and HQ 9AF AFCENT/A3 policies and guidance.
Requirements
Active DoD Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI clearance after hire.
U.S. Citizenship.
Bachelor's Degree or five (5) years’ experience on a NAF or higher-level staff.
Three (3) years’ experience working plans/programs and AMHS message production in a Component-Numbered AF or HHQ staff position or other service equivalent.
Use of Microsoft Office applications, email systems, and Task Management Tool or the equivalent.
Experience in USCENTCOM operational environment, including deliberate and crisis action planning.
One (1) year experience in the use of C2IE, C2IMERA, or equivalent database tools.
Must be capable of worldwide travel including passport and visa requirements.
