About the role

Oversee and ensure successful delivery of projects as a PMP or Scrum Master, managing lifecycle from requirement definition to deployment
Act as an SDLC Technical Leader driving technical solutions and best practices across teams using Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Angular, Linux RedHat, Oracle DB, SQL Server, IBM MQ, IBM WAS
Ensure Business as Usual (BAU) operations including incident backlog management, issue resolution, and task prioritization
Manage patch management, vulnerability assessments, and coordinate application and infrastructure updates
Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and incident escalations; coordinate with external providers
Oversee a team of 3 direct reports (Infrastructure, Application Support, Incident Management)
Manage an environment of servers and application systems ensuring regulatory and operational compliance within the banking sector
Drive system development to align technology with business goals and foster innovation
Manage projects within Trading, Investment Funds, SPEI, SWIFT, and Payment Systems (primary focus)

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Proven experience in IT environments, production support, and project management within the banking or financial services sector
Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
PMP or Scrum Master certification or equivalent (highly desirable)
Experience in Software Architecture, vendor management, and maintaining application/infrastructure availability
Familiarity with agile methodologies
Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance in the banking industry
Advanced knowledge of database management (Oracle), programming languages (Java), and middleware (IBM WAS, IBM MQ) as well as SQL Server
Experience with Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Angular, Linux RedHat
Experience managing projects in Trading, Investment Funds, SPEI, SWIFT, and Payment Systems (70% focus)
Ability to manage and develop teams (oversee 3 direct reports)
Capacity to handle high-pressure situations and manage emergency incidents
Languages: Advanced Oral English; Native Spanish
