About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Act technically on the evolution of the Sensedia AI Gateway, the intelligent layer that governs, protects and scales the use of Artificial Intelligence and agents in companies.
  • Act as a technical reference within the AI Gateway development team, contributing to relevant technical decisions in the product's evolution.
  • Design, develop and evolve the product's control plane (Java/Spring Boot), responsible for translating management operations into Kubernetes resources (CRDs) that configure the data plane at runtime.
  • Contribute to the evolution of the product's core capabilities: routing to LLM Providers with failover, guardrail policies (Prompt Guard, Prompt Enrichment, Rate Limiting), exposure of corporate APIs as MCP Servers, management of AI Agents, scopes and credentials.
  • Collaborate with architects, team leaders, Product Managers and other team members to transform product needs into viable, scalable and sustainable implementations.
  • Participate in technical analyses, trade-off discussions, technical discovery and proofs of concept to validate implementation paths and reduce risks.
  • Evolve integrations with multiple LLM providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Azure, Bedrock and open-source models).
  • Develop and evolve secure authentication and authorization flows based on OAuth, JWT/JWKS and scopes, including integration with Keycloak and customers' external auth servers.
  • Apply best practices for resilience, observability (OpenTelemetry), security, governance and operational excellence in developed solutions.
  • Contribute technically to the evolution of the solution, helping identify opportunities for improvement, complexity reduction, scalability gains and risk mitigation.
  • Work collaboratively with the engineering team, supporting technical decisions, code reviews, refinements and continuous improvement of technical quality.
  • Support the dissemination of best practices in development, architecture, testing, observability and operations within the team.
  • Investigate technical problems, propose solutions and act in the evolutionary maintenance of the platform with a focus on quality, stability and scalability.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Solid experience as a senior developer in digital products, cloud-native platforms or distributed systems.
  • Strong experience with Java (recent versions) and Spring Boot in developing REST APIs and backend product services.
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes as a runtime platform, including concepts of operators, CRDs (Custom Resource Definitions), ConfigMaps, Secrets and workload lifecycle.
  • Experience with distributed architectures, microservices, REST APIs and architectural patterns such as control plane / data plane and hexagonal architecture.
  • Strong knowledge of OpenAPI/Swagger, contract design, versioning and API lifecycle.
  • Experience with authentication and authorization in digital platforms: OAuth 2.0 (client credentials), JWT, validation via JWKS and modeling of scopes.
  • Interest and familiarity with the generative AI and agentic ecosystem: consumption of LLM APIs, prompt engineering, guardrails and emerging protocols such as MCP (Model Context Protocol) and A2A.
  • Knowledge of scalability, resilience, security and observability practices in digital platforms.
  • Experience with automated testing practices (unit, integration and E2E), CI/CD and code review.
  • Ability to understand product needs and translate them into clear, sustainable and well-implemented technical solutions.
  • Experience working side by side with product, architecture and engineering teams, with a collaborative attitude and sense of ownership.
  • Ability to participate in POCs, assess technical risks and contribute to implementation decisions based on technical grounds.
  • Good technical communication and ability to collaborate with different profiles within the team.
