About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide technical leadership to the development team, supporting architectural decisions and guiding engineering best practices
Participate in agile ceremonies, technical refinements, and strategic project discussions
Design, develop, and evolve APIs and microservices using Java and Spring Boot
Drive architecture modernization by proposing solutions based on microservices, event-driven patterns, and integration best practices
Refactor systems toward a more scalable, resilient, and decoupled model
Implement integrations between services using REST APIs and messaging systems
Identify performance improvement opportunities, including caching strategies, resource optimization, and latency reduction
Support the evolution and migration of applications to cloud environments
Ensure technical quality of deliverables through testing, code reviews, and development best practices

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience with Java 17+
Experience with unit testing using JUnit 5
Experience with Docker and Docker Compose
Experience with relational and non-relational databases
Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs
Experience with Spring Boot
Experience with GIT
Experience with design patterns
Experience with microservices architecture
Experience with messaging tools
Experience with event-driven architecture
Experience developing cloud-native applications
Familiarity with AWS services: IAM, S3, EC2, Lambda, SQS, SNS, ECS, EKS, RDS, DynamoDB, EventBridge
Knowledge of API Gateway
