About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Promote DevOps culture within the project, driving process automation
  • Build and maintain infrastructure as code
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines
  • Support cloud environments
  • Ensure reliability, scalability, and security of applications and platforms
  • Contribute to an agile and efficient development journey
  • Develop and maintain backend applications using Java
  • Manage and automate infrastructure in cloud environments (AWS and Azure)
  • Administer, monitor, and optimize development, staging, and production environments
  • Create and manage containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes
  • Apply Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices
  • Administer web servers and relational and non-relational databases
  • Implement and maintain monitoring, observability, and troubleshooting solutions
  • Ensure environment security by applying DevSecOps practices
  • Perform incident analysis, problem resolution, and continuous system improvements
  • Participate in rollouts, deployments, and changes in production environments
  • Share technical knowledge and support the growth of development and operations teams

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Java development for enterprise applications and REST APIs
  • Experience with DevOps practices and culture
  • Kubernetes (administration, deployment, troubleshooting, and workload management)
  • Docker and application containerization
  • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Terragrunt, Ansible, and CloudFormation)
  • AWS Cloud (infrastructure services, networking, security, and monitoring)
  • Azure Cloud (Azure Portal, infrastructure resources, and observability)
  • Implementation and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Bitbucket Pipelines, TeamCity, or similar)
  • Version control using Git, GitHub, and Bitbucket
  • Administration and configuration of web servers (Nginx)
  • Administration of databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis
  • Task automation with Shell scripting and/or PowerShell
  • Monitoring and observability of production environments
  • Security applied across the DevOps lifecycle (DevSecOps)
  • API Management (APIM)
  • API governance and documentation using OpenAPI
  • Knowledge of APIOps
  • Change management and operational processes using ServiceNow
  • Troubleshooting of applications, infrastructure, and pipelines
  • Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, and Lean)
