About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Create a welcoming experience for guests upon arrival and provide exceptional guest service
Perform assigned indoor or outdoor duties throughout the Seneca Allegany Resort and Casino property
Report violations, acts, or situations detrimental to Seneca Gaming Corporation
Assist with internal and external investigations conducted by Seneca Gaming Corporation, Seneca Gaming Authority, or authorized local authorities in a non-Gaming capacity
Resolve or de-escalate conflicts in Non-Gaming areas
Maintain confidentiality regarding Security Department functions and confidential information
Follow information-security policies, procedures, and the Seneca Gaming Corporation Acceptable Use Policy
Maintain a professional work environment with supervisors, managers, and staff
Meet attendance guidelines and comply with regulatory, departmental, and company policies
Complete required SGC training programs within nine months of employment
Attend necessary meetings

Requirements

What you’ll need

Must be 18 years of age or older upon employment
High school diploma preferred, not required
Security, hospitality, or guest service experience preferred, not required
Good observation skills
Good writing and spelling skills
Effective written and oral communication abilities
Ability to write routine correspondence and speak effectively to the public, employees, and customers
Ability to interact effectively with customers and employees
Ability to resolve problems and conflicts diplomatically and tactfully
Must successfully complete CPR/First Aid Training Course and other Security Management-required training
Must complete all required SGC Training programs within nine months from commencement of employment
Must be able to stand, walk, and move through all Non-Gaming areas of the casino
Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays
Specific vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
Physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced, noisy casino environment
Must be able to work in an environment where smoking is permitted
