About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Execute security duties on an assigned shift while protecting guests, team members, and Seneca Gaming Corporation property
- Ensure the safety of guests and team members on the premises
- Assist guests and team members and respond to medical emergencies and guest disputes
- Observe and patrol all areas of Seneca Gaming Corporation properties
- Work designated or assigned posts and complete post duties
- Report violations, acts, or situations detrimental to Seneca Gaming Corporation
- Ensure the integrity of slot, sportsbook, and table-game areas
- Perform Class III gaming security duties, including asset transfers, table fills, slot/jackpot escorts, and card and dice verification and destruction
- Adhere to Security Officer compliance requirements and regulatory requirements for Class III gaming operations
- Assist with internal and external investigations
- Maintain confidentiality regarding Security Department functions and confidential information
- Follow information security policies and procedures
- Provide exceptional guest service and maintain a professional work environment
- Meet attendance guidelines, complete required training, and attend necessary meetings
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must be 18 years of age or older upon employment
- High School diploma or its equivalency required
- Experience in Security, Law Enforcement, Military, or Hospitality preferred
- Ability to use approved security software, report-writing software, dispatch software, Microsoft Word, and Excel
- Good observation skills
- Good writing and spelling skills
- Proven guest service experience
- Ability to work in an intense, fast-paced environment requiring concentration
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to write routine correspondence and speak effectively to the public, employees, and customers
- Ability to interact effectively with customers and employees
- Ability to resolve problems and conflicts diplomatically and tactfully
- Ability to stand, walk, and move through all areas of the casino
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Required close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision, plus ability to adjust focus
- Physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced, noisy casino environment
- Ability to work in an environment where smoking is permitted
