About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide Building Consultant teams with technical support on individual claims and team initiatives
- Assist with queries, referrals, complaints, and complex scenarios to achieve positive outcomes for policyholders and clients
- Maintain technical quality delivery from the team while reporting to the Operations Manager
- Work with other managers to enhance quality, upskill colleagues, and identify growth opportunities
- Manage Building Consultants’ licensing
- Mentor and support colleagues
- Support complaint resolution
- Conduct audits
- Ensure accuracy in reserving and decision-making
- Help colleagues deliver revenue targets and top-tier customer service
- Promote technical development through professional qualifications
- Engage with clients to demonstrate technical expertise
Requirements
What you’ll need- Previous experience in a subsidence claims environment is essential
- Strong background dealing with complex issues
- Strong coaching and mentoring skills
- Ability to guide and support team members, provide constructive feedback, and foster professional growth
- Organised and diligent, with ability to run tasks through to completion
- Ability to work with the extended leadership team in Subsidence
- Conscientious, hard-working, and flexible during high volumes
- Ability to cope with a fast-changing working environment
- Enthusiastic, professional, and positive attitude
- Desire to embrace innovative working practices
- Recognised as a subject matter expert among peers
- Likely to hold a building-related professional qualification and/or have extensive industry experience
