About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage a portfolio of domestic and commercial subsidence claims from initial assessment through completion of repairs
- Diagnose building movement and structural defects
- Develop mitigation strategies and repair solutions, including underpinning schemes
- Work closely with experienced consultants and specialist service providers
- Assess structural movement and contribute to effective resolution strategies
- Balance technology-led solutions with hands-on site experience
- Develop technical capability through varied cases and comprehensive training
- Deliver excellent customer service and communicate with empathy
- Make decisions throughout the claims and repair process
Requirements
What you’ll need- Passion for the built environment
- Willingness to work towards a recognised building qualification such as MCIOB, MRICS, or MICE
- Existing building-related qualifications are advantageous
- Insurance qualifications such as CILA/CII are desirable
- Sound technical foundation or emerging experience identifying structural defects and subsidence
- Knowledge or developing capability in diagnosis of building movement
- Knowledge or developing capability in mitigation techniques
- Knowledge or developing capability in repair solutions, including underpinning schemes
- Insurance claims handling experience is a plus; training will be provided
- Ability to make decisions
- Ability to deliver excellent customer service
- Effective communication with empathy
- Ability to collaborate
- Willingness to work across the UK
