About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Review and monitor mitigation estimates, focusing on the technical aspects of water mitigation
  • Interact with vendors to ensure proper mitigation occurred
  • Adjust estimates based on loss facts
  • Monitor mitigation estimates and final billing for accuracy
  • Assess mitigation handling on a claim-by-claim basis
  • Interact with water mitigation vendors within designated timeframes at the conclusion of mitigation
  • Identify mitigation or vendor trends and share best practices across the group
  • Perform other assigned duties
  • Support the organization’s quality programs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • IICRC-WRT and/or IICRC-ASD certification required
  • Six (6) years of experience in the insurance industry and/or dealing with specialty mitigation, restoration, and/or mitigation companies handling water damage claims, or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong negotiating skills, including ability to negotiate with external vendors
  • PC literate, including Microsoft Office products
  • Analytical and interpretive skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously and meet deadlines
