About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Review and monitor mitigation estimates, focusing on the technical aspects of water mitigation
Interact with vendors to ensure proper mitigation occurred
Adjust estimates based on loss facts
Monitor mitigation estimates and final billing for accuracy
Assess mitigation handling on a claim-by-claim basis
Interact with water mitigation vendors within designated timeframes at the conclusion of mitigation
Identify mitigation or vendor trends and share best practices across the group
Perform other assigned duties
Support the organization’s quality programs

Requirements

What you’ll need

IICRC-WRT and/or IICRC-ASD certification required
Six (6) years of experience in the insurance industry and/or dealing with specialty mitigation, restoration, and/or mitigation companies handling water damage claims, or equivalent combination of education and experience required
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent customer service skills
Strong analytical skills
Strong negotiating skills, including ability to negotiate with external vendors
PC literate, including Microsoft Office products
Analytical and interpretive skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies
Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously and meet deadlines
