About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist with performance management of the entire program across multiple jurisdictions for workers compensation and potentially leave of absence
  • Ensure adherence to client service instructions for workers compensation supporting a dedicated client
  • Monitor client reserves for accurate reflection of the client's book of claims and ensure reserves are within an appropriate range
  • Track and trend performance guarantee and gain share agreements at the client level
  • Ensure client claims reports are properly and timely prepared and distributed
  • Monitor the client's average cost of claims and identify trends and excessive cost factors
  • Conduct client-specific operational audits and monitor client audit compliance
  • Work with company Quality and Operations staff to resolve client issues, including results of client Compass audits
  • Manage client-specific internal control report issues
  • Ensure timely payment of TTD, medical, and vendor bills and appropriate vendor utilization
  • Review aging claims for file closure, ensuring claims do not age beyond appropriate time frames

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Five (5) years of workers compensation claims management experience
  • Understanding of excess and carrier reporting for workers compensation claims
  • Strong communication skills
  • Knowledge of Excel for reporting and tracking purposes
  • Clear and conceptual thinking ability
  • Excellent judgment, troubleshooting, problem solving, analysis, and discretion
  • Ability to handle work-related stress
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Computer keyboarding ability
  • Hearing, vision, and talking abilities
