About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Establish and operate the technology vendor management office for Managed Services Providers (MSPs)
- Design and operate governance frameworks, including business and quarterly reviews, contract reviews, risk reviews, and improvement plans
- Establish standardized vendor playbooks, SLAs/XLAs, KPIs, escalation paths, RACI, and performance scorecards
- Maintain a central repository of contracts, statements of work, amendments, obligations, and renewal calendars
- Drive compliance with regulatory, security, and data privacy requirements
- Create and manage a portfolio view of MSP engagements, including status, risks, dependencies, financials, and outcomes
- Facilitate innovation backlog prioritization and retrospectives
- Monitor program health and surface issues, trends, and recommendations
- Drive transition and transformation governance for new MSPs or scope changes
- Quantify and communicate value realization, including cost optimization, service stability, risk reduction, and productivity gains
- Serve as the primary point of accountability for vendor performance across Technology
- Facilitate executive-level vendor engagement, escalations, negotiations, and remediation planning
- Partner with Technology, Security, Finance, Procurement, Legal, and business leaders
- Define data standards and vendor-performance reporting frameworks
- Own or influence the VMO tooling ecosystem, including ServiceNow, vendor scorecards, and BI/analytics
- Implement automation and analytics for SLA tracking, reporting, and invoice validation
- Develop dashboards and insights to support decision-making and improve service delivery
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field
- 8+ years of experience in vendor management, service delivery management, IT operations, or sourcing within a Technology organization
- MBA or equivalent preferred
- Clear and conceptual thinking ability
- Excellent judgment, troubleshooting, problem solving, analysis, and discretion
- Ability to handle work-related stress and multiple priorities simultaneously
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Computer keyboarding ability
- Ability to travel as required
