Claims Representative – General & Product Liability, Multi State Jurisdiction
SedgwickClaims Representative adjudicating product liability claims across various industries. Leveraging a global network and ensuring compliance with company standards and best practices in claims management.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Processes lower level product liability claims by gathering information to determine liability exposure; assign reserve values to claims, determines risk transfer (tender opportunities); settle claims up to designated authority level; make claim payments as necessary.
- Develops and coordinates lower value product liability claims; prepares action plans pursuant to the claim or client contract.
- Negotiates settlements within designated settlement authority.
- Administers subrogation of claims.
- Communicates claim action with claimant and client.
- Ensures claim files are timely handled; properly documented; and claims coding is correct.
- Maintains professional client relationships.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Supports the organization's quality program(s).
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
- Professional certification as applicable to line of business preferred.
- Two (2) years of claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience or successful completion of Claims Representative training required.
- Jurisdiction Knowledge: All states.
- Licensing: Reciprocal Preferred
