About the role
- Design and implement ETL/ELT pipelines
- Build and maintain Feature Stores and specialized datasets
- Develop data pipelines required for Generative AI
- Act as the technical lead for the Snowflake data warehouse
- Manage complex, cross-platform data workflows
- Partner with IT and Security for data flow connectivity
- Implement automated validation for data quality
- Optimize storage and query performance in Snowflake and cloud environments
- Collaborate with MLOps and Data Science teams
Requirements
- 6+ years of hands-on data engineering experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field
- Expert-level proficiency in Snowflake architecture
- Advanced, hands-on knowledge of AWS and Azure data services
- Mastery of Python, SQL, and PySpark
- Proven ability to interface with "old world" tech
- Strong understanding of the specific data needs for Machine Learning and Generative AI
- Ability to navigate enterprise bureaucracy to ship code efficiently
