About the role
- Independently manage major claims — from the initial inquiry through to final settlement
- Minimize risks to the company
- Resolve complex coverage issues
- Deliver excellent client service
- Conduct coverage reviews, evaluate liability, and analyze claim quantum
- Timely handling and settlement of large, often litigated claims
- Regular communication with relevant stakeholders
- Prepare coverage letters
- Take into account differing legal frameworks across Germany
- Close collaboration with head office and legal department
Requirements
- University degree
- Required authorizations/licences to act as a claims adjuster
- Additional insurance qualifications such as CPCU, AIC or ARM are an advantage
- Minimum of ten years’ relevant professional experience
- Significant experience handling personal and/or commercial lines claims
- Experience in coverage analysis and preparing associated documentation
- Solid expertise in handling complex claims within the HNWI/high-net-worth segment
