About the role
- Manage complex or sensitive bodily injury files from opening to closing
- Receive claim notifications and analyze coverage
- Determine liability
- Assess reserves
- Instruct experts and attorneys
- Manage claims settlements and recoveries
- Lead negotiation of settlement offers with stakeholders
- Train bodily injury claims handlers
- Update bodily injury valuation tools
- Perform regular audits of bodily injury files
- Work closely with our medical advisors
- Contribute to monthly reporting and attend steering meetings with clients
- Advise and support clients in the management of their bodily injury claims
- Participate in tender processes and implement procedures for new incoming clients
- Ensure data feed into the tool used for monthly account billing
Requirements
- Master's degree (Bac+5) in Insurance or Law
- Minimum 4 years' experience as a Claims Handler in third-party liability for medium to severe bodily injury claims (Permanent Functional Deficit rate > 49%)
- Strong analytical and synthesis skills
- Organized, rigorous, and able to prioritize tasks
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage case constraints
- Proactive with sound decision-making skills
- Strong coaching/training skills and team spirit
- Proficient in English required
