About the role
- Manage day to day activities of the national marine operations.
- Manage marine surveyors and adjusters conducting inspections and surveying marine vessels.
- Ensure compliance with various standards or specifications.
- Inspect equipment intended for new or existing vessels.
- Perform detailed unbiased assessment of the vessel condition.
- Recommend repairs according to regulations.
- Provide evidence in support of damage claims and submit reports.
- Monitor all operational expenses including P&L and produce budgeted contribution margins.
- Conduct various surveys including damage and condition surveys.
- Review file inventory to comply with statutory requirements.
- Maintain all safety protocols according to regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
- Ten (10) years of experience as a marine surveyor with management and business development responsibilities;
- Advance knowledge in marine terminology.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Good organizational skills.
- Detail oriented.
- Computer literate including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies.
- Be able to push/pull up to 100 pounds.
- Be able to drive up to 4 hours per day.
- Must have continual use of manual dexterity.
