About the role
- To manage and be responsible for the marine department achieving budgeted contribution
- Manage a team of adjusters and surveyors
- Produce quality claim handling and services
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers
- Monitor workloads to ensure work is properly allocated
- Respond to and resolve complaints
- Achieve budgeted margin for department operations
- Develop and maintain customer relationships and work with VP of Marine to develop new clientele
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Support the organization's quality program(s)
- Travel as required
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred
- Ten (10) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills
- PC literate, including Microsoft Office products
- Good customer service skills
- Good organizational skills
- Leadership/management/motivational skills
